The students of the Escuela Taller "Casa de Las Monjas I", accompanied by students of Initial Vocational Training Program, conducted a training trip to the 2009 Student Show X held in Lorca, between 18 and 20 February.
The purpose of the trip was to give the students, workers in training complements the formal education process to help develop it in their training activities to artistic, cultural and environmental.
It was also intended to promote youth participation and leadership in the channels of educational information and training, through coordination among the students of secondary schools and institutions that generate such information.
Students toured the various 'stands' inquiring about the education offered by the various exhibitors, among which include: secondary education institutions, local bodies and agencies related to education and youth information, Universities, Military, Private Centres training, Councillors, local youth, women and social services, the Regional Employment Service and Training, Ministry of Education, Training and Employment.
Students had the opportunity to know in detail much of the training offered by the Shire, both theoretical and applied, it could participate in numerous activities in which that provision was made in each training center (hospitality and tasting restoration, testing, first aid practices, conducting blood tests on site, audio and video recording, built-finishing job, etc.) as well as a talk / discussion on the implications of university reform at European level called Lisbon Strategy and popularly called "Bologna Process", of great importance in shaping the European Higher Education Area.
Once the visit, the students had the opportunity to participate in another great aspect of living, recreational activities held in the compound, which ranged from games of "paint-ball, to dance classes, going through various rides and attractions, circus performances, vehicle testing type "Seg-Way" live music ...
Once in the center, they pooled their experiences and work was carried out analysis and assessment of information received, with a special focus on awareness of the need for training and continuing professional development and its impact on improving the chances of employability and job adaptation.
