This first edition of the event, as explained by the council in the industry, Josefa Maria Sanchez, is being convened with the aim of "creating a space for reflection, creativity and literary expression that contributes to building a fairer society where inequalities disappear gender and eradicate violence against women. According to the rules, the themes chosen for the stories and tales will be related among other things, with the values of equality of opportunity, while respectful of the differences between women and men, the reconciliation of work, family and personal , the non-sexist language and critical analysis of the image of women in the media and the prevention and eradication of gender violence through the promotion of relations of good treatment.
The awards will be provided with a total of 900 euros, 400 euros for an adult mode, 300 euros for juvenile form (consisting of a check - a gift for the purchase of books or other library material) and 200 euros for the modality children (consisting of a check - a gift for the purchase of books or other library material)
The jury will consist of the Councillor for Women's Rights and Equal Opportunity, a representative of the City Council's Equal Opportunities Totana and a painter of acknowledged prestige in this field.
The jury's decision will be made public on May 28, 2009.
The jury's decision is final and can not to award the prize if it considers that none of the works submitted is worthy of it, and made public in the media and on the website www.totana.es indicating the time, day and place of the awards.
The films will be handwritten or typed, on one face, font size 12, size DIN-A4 with a maximum of 5 pages.
