The mayor reported that the document PGMO enter into the technical committee (17/02/2009)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has reported that the General Municipal Plan document Management (PGMO) enter into the technical committee of the general direction of Natural Heritage, who will sign the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS ) during the month of March.

Once the PGMO get green light from the General Directorate of Environmental Control, will be the technical committee of the Directorate General of Urban and Regional Planning who approved the adequacy of the document, which definitely will be certified through the Council of Community Government Autonomous Region of Murcia.

The mayor, in the round of negotiations and meetings with representatives of the autonomous region to achieve the earliest possible approval of PGMO, has held several working sessions with the CEO of Urban and Regional Planning, Antonio Javier Navarro Corchón , and the director general of Natural Heritage and Biodiversity, Pablo Fernández Abellán.

Following these meetings, the Ministry of Public Works has agreed that, once approved by the Environmental Impact Statement in three months, the document will enter into the table of the technical committee of this Council who will be responsible for approval.

Martínez Andreo explained that during that time working between the Council and the Autonomous Region will be held continuously for small rectifications to be carried out in the document be expedited.

The mayor has taken to the director general of the need to approve Planning zoning and town planning of the urban center of the hamlet of El Paretón and concerted sectorisations Totana and close to town.

Martínez Andreo has insisted that it is necessary to approve the new planning legislation that benefits the productive sectors, single-family housing and industrial production, among many other things that give a new boost to the town of Totana.

What is the current status the PGMO?

- In November of 2008 was registered in the Ministry of Public Works and Planning PGMO consolidated text of which was approved by the Plenary of the Municipal Corporation of the City of Totana, with votes for the Popular Party, the abstention of PSOE and IU voting against + the Greens.

- In March, the document will go through the technical committee of the General Directorate of Environmental Control who shall endorse the Environmental Impact Statement (PGMO).

- Once you get the DIA, is the technical committee of the Planning Department who rule on the appropriateness of the General Plan, it is estimated that three months after being definitively.

- When Public Works approval, the Governing Council finally approve the General Plan Municipal Urban.
