The councilman of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, María Isabel Sánchez Ruiz, and President of the Business Activity Foundation, José Antonio Jordan, have announced the call for proposals for Energy Efficiency in Commercial, sponsored by the Ministry of University, Business and Innovation whose application period will remain open until 28 February.
This initiative, which has collaboration with the departments of Consumer Affairs, Trade and Environment, aims to promote sustainable trade and improve their management, efficiency and productivity of SMEs and the commercial distribution system, thereby achieving greater productivity of these establishments, as the mayor explained.
With this call for proposals, grant aid is intended for analysis and assessment on energy efficiency and sustainability of commercial establishments, as well as actions aimed at its improvement.
The procedure for applying for this grant is to first do an evaluation report on energy efficiency and sustainability of the establishment, by a technician, who will be free, who will complete an annex that will indicate what the investments needed to reduce energy consumption up to 30 percent a month.
To this end, interested businesses must apply for this audit before 28 February.
The second part of this grant would complete the second schedule, following the visit of the technician, to request the grant, which would amount to 50 percent of the investment alignment with an upper limit set at 3,000 euros per establishment and requesting holder .
The amount allocated for this call for aid to be awarded at the regional level is a total of 450,000 euros.
The beneficiaries of this aid will be the owners of establishments with at least five years of opening to the public, engaged in retail trade, whose sales area not exceeding 150 square meters, with a workforce of between 0 and 9 employees .
In addition, the grant payment will be made as advance payment, without justifications, because it is necessary to enable the beneficiary to take the actions that must be made before November 15 and will be justified before 31 December 2009.
Councilwoman Maria Isabel Sanchez has encouraged all local businesses to apply for this grant, adding that for any question, `can contact the Department of Commerce, located in the high offices of BBVA.
Also explained that this initiative is complementary to the motion made by the Department of Environment, to be presented to the House this month, which proposes the creation of a light pollution ordinance.
