Izquierda Unida in Totana has filed a motion in Parliament in support of the Tajo and Segura upport called the demonstration called by the Irrigation (04/02/2009)

The Municipal spokesperson IU + Greens in Totana, Pedro Martinez, has filed a motion in Parliament for the Corporation to express its support for the continuity of the Tajo Segura and support for the demonstrations in favor of farmers in Murcia, convened tomorrow 5 February in Murcia.

"We support the uncompromising defense of the Tajo Segura, the threat to set the expiration date, which would have disastrous consequences for economic and social development of the Shire of Guadalentín and the Region of Murcia ..." said Pedro Martínez.

IU councilors in Totana, will attend the rally called for tomorrow in Murcia and call to join all citizens, as agriculture is the future of our survival, as it has been for hundreds of years in this area .

"It's essential unity of action of the political and social forces in defense of Diversion and a responsible water policy in our region, optimizing the use of water resources from political action combined supply and demand ..." he added Martinez Gómez.
