The Department of Women and Equal Opportunities of the City of Totana has organized the "Third Children's Drawing Contest 2009" related to equal opportunities and coeducation, aimed at students in grades 5 and Primary 6 in order to disseminate the values equality among individuals without discrimination based on sex and defend the rights and interests of women.
This initiative is part of the activities in the area of awareness and information of the second Plan of Equal Opportunity, and as in previous years have organized a series of activities aimed at local primary school on the occasion of International Women's Day, held on 8 March.
Among these activities is called the Children's Painting Competition 2009 related to equal opportunities and co-education in order to disseminate the values of equality among individuals without discrimination based on sex and defend the rights and interests of women, and whose deadline is open until Feb. 28.
The competition rules adopted by the Local Government Board, in its last meeting, provide for the making of the drawing will be conducted on measures of DIN A-4, and the theme will revolve around the idea of equal opportunities between men and women and / or co-education.
The drawings do not include the motto of equality and / or co-education will be deleted.
Among the selection criteria will be assessed primarily the relationship with the contest theme, originality and convey messages that work and positive values about equality and coeducation.
The contest has three prizes for students grade 5 and three other prizes for the 6 th grade, consisting of a batch of school supplies for each winner by 100 euros each.
The winning drawings will be exhibited at the Centre for Sociocultural "Jail" and the name of the / as winners / as made public on the website www.totana.es and prizes are awarded during the month of March, during the events commemorating the "March 8, International Women's Day."
The jury will be composed of Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, the technique of the council and a representative of the City Council's Equal Opportunities Totana, which may declare the award and its decision is final.
The work was presented at the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, located in the C / Pilar, 1 - 1 -3 door, from 8:00 to 15:00, in the Socio-Cultural Center from 8:00 to 14: 00 pm and from 17:00 to 21:00 h or in the city of Totana to the attention of the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities.
