The general director of the Regional Employment Service, Ginés Martínez, and the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by the Councillor for Employment and Training, Trini Cayuela, and the director of the School, Diego Torres, inaugurated this morning the School Taller "Casa de las Monjas I", in which 32 students work for two years on the project to remodel the building, which will go to a Center of Nature.
The implementation of this project is, as indicated by the mayor of Employment and Training, the opportunity to access to employment training for 32 young people between 16 and 25, who during these 24 months will be formed to obtain a professional qualification in specialty high demand for skilled labor in areas such as masonry, carpentry and electricity.
This training, as explained by the mayor, provide further professional insertion, which will in turn supported by the technicians of the Department of Public Works and Employment.
The building, which was acquired by the City Council in 2007 and consists of over 30,000 square meters, has another 500 square meters on two floors entitled height comprises various halls and rooms for various uses .
This project, as pointed Cayuela, will be carried out thanks to a grant awarded by the Department of Employment for a total of 830,716.30 euros.
In addition to preserving the cultural and environmental surroundings of the municipality with the implementation of this project, which began on Dec. 26, as underlined by the director of the Workshop School, Diego Torres, the 32 will ensure that students get quality education to achieve in a future job stability.
For his part, Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, thanked the support of the Ministry of Education and Employment to the City totanero, and thanks to a grant awarded by the Regional Employment Service, will be able to carry out this important project for the town of Totana.
In addition, the municipal councilor stressed that such measures will get the employability of young people at a time when job losses are causing a serious problem in the Region of Murcia.
Martínez Andreo has highlighted that this project is very important, because it will boost the city's environmental resources while training achieved in three areas of work that, in times of economic boom, are in high demand by employers.
