The Platform against the route of the AVE in Totana met yesterday evening at the restaurant "Pedro Miras" with stakeholders and Lebor neighbors to inform them of the route of the AVE project offered by the Ministry of Development and gather support and arguments This project will help to stop the economic and social drown the village of Totana and urbanistically choke.
The owners of the farms affected by the expropriations said members of the political platform of the City and accompanied us concern and discomfort with the Ministry of Development and ADIF for the opacity and lack of information about the project.
The meeting was the headman mayor, the mayor and some council members and representatives of political parties.
Stakeholders were informed of the actual course and the need to seek an alternative as well as the steps we have been given from the platform and at City Hall to try to stop this path that will harm both the interests of the residents of Totana.
We insist that the new path parallel to the existing railway line is clearly damaging the future Intermodal Station project that plans to build in Totana and strangling the economic and urban growth of the Coastal and Lebor and hinders the progress of the industrial estate salt marsh.
Please be informed that our platform will hold an informational meeting tonight in the school hall with the residents of the neighborhoods of Pears, Olympic and Tyrolean Camilleri and tomorrow at La Costera.
We remind all affected residents may submit written argument and manifestos of support and commitment to the platform at the counter of City Hall by Tuesday, January 20, 2009.
