The Directorate General of Crafts and Trade of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and Totana City Council have signed a collaboration agreement to install the artisan market near the Sanctuary of Santa, which will be installed one Sunday a month in order to encourage tourist visits to this emblematic place at the same time enhance and promote the local handicrafts.
Under this agreement, the Consistory totanero will receive 11,142 euros for the implementation of the project market, amounting in total to almost 15,000 euros.
As explained Councilwoman Crafts, Isabel Sanchez Ruiz, this market is intended to Totana artisans display their work to visitors.
This will, according to the mayor commented that the master craftsmen can sell their products directly to visitors who come to the market, which will be decorated with demonstrations of crafts are made by ourselves and local associations.
In this sense, the mayor stressed the importance of "interaction binomial Totana tourism-craft" and the need to work "in order to enhance both together."
For this reason, since this Council is working to build a solid foundation of this artisan market in the hamlet of La Santa, which will begin to settle in the first quarter of this year.
