The Councillor for New Technologies, Trini Cayuela Crespo, made the balance RAITOTANA project in 2008 and stressed the importance of assuming this project is for training and access to new technologies in Totana, bringing computing and Internet all citizens.
Specifically, as explained by the mayor responsible for the municipal area, a total of 563 people have received training in new technologies during 2008 in 75 courses developed in the computer rooms of Parral, Citizen Participation, The Prison, CLD, Balsa Old and promptly in the Paretón and Barrio de San Francisco.
RAITOTANA - Network Computer Classroom is a project Totana-municipal initiative that has united under a single name different computer rooms of the town of Totana.
Currently there are 10 computer labs available to the public, which have been implemented under various agreements between the city of Totana and other agencies.
The courses offer the following courses comprise: computer literacy (20 hours), basic computer and Internet (30 hours), Internet (20 hours), Word documents (20 hours), Excel spreadsheet (20 hours) , Access database (20 hours), Power Point (15 hours) digital photography (15 hours).
The mayor of New Technologies has indicated that it is a continuous training, as there are no specific dates for completion of the courses they are becoming steadily as demand for them.
Applications for courses can be collected and delivered at City Hall or in places where they are to conduct the training.
In the organization of different courses are involved the Department of Culture, the Department of Citizenship, the Department of Public Works and Employment, Social Welfare Department, the Department of Women and the Collective for Social Promotion "The candle ", all under the coordination of the council of New Technologies through RAITOTANA Project.
Besides the training aspect, the classrooms have received several thousand hits in its role as free access, which you can access the classroom at a time for free access.
For free access have been developed for all activities related to Internet Connection: Navigation, Email, Chat, among other topics.
Cayuela stressed that towards the year 2009, the project is presented with better prospects for 2008 as demand for training in new technologies is growing.
