Municipal Immigration Service of the Department of Social Welfare of the City of Totana, has completed the workshop classes to strengthen the Spanish language and other basic skills, directed at the local immigrant population.
Classes have a duration of three months and the beneficiaries of it have been a total of 35 persons from different countries such as Syria, Bulgaria, Lithuania and the vast majority of Morocco.
These people have been organized into two groups with different schedules, one of them directed at women Moroccans and the second group for men and women of different nationalities, with time of four hours per week.
Contents treaties have been on the training and reinforcement in Spanish, basic knowledge instrumental workshop: basic accounting and computing habits Domestic Organization.
The target set for classes to reinforce the Spanish language has been to facilitate and enhance the acquisition by immigrants of basic knowledge and personal skills as essential tools for personal autonomy and social functioning.
The results achieved, as reported by service technicians, have been very satisfying and rewarding both from the participants and the professionals responsible for the training program for integration and intercultural harmony, they belong to these classes.
In addition, these participants have requested the implementation of the workshop, which it considers useful for its development in the host society.
