The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, accompanied by Councilman Craft, Isabel Maria Sanchez, and the president of Artisan Bakers Association Totana, Asparte, Jose Martinez Murcia, have signed a collaboration agreement for an amount of 5,000 euros to promote the sweets made in the municipality.
The agreement will also reduce spending entrepreneurs investing in initiatives that promote and revive the crafts sector.
The Town Hall by the Department of Craft is betting on the development and implementation of initiatives to promote the sweets made by pastry Totana.
And thanks to this economic partnership, the Association will hold joint activities between enterprises and professional partners which promote "The Santiaguito" (sweets made with almonds, grated orange and sugar, among other ingredients).
The mayor thanked Crafts President Asparte the work that is being developed from the partnership for the sweet totanero be promoted within and outside the municipality, and that is starting to become a hallmark of the town, especially in times like Christmas.
For his part, President of Artisan Bakers Association has expressed its sincere appreciation for the signing of this agreement for another year, because it becomes a useful tool for promoting the products more attractive.
The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has indicated that it is very necessary contribution of this type of aid by local government to promote both products of the municipality to support economic costs suffered by businesses.
In this sense, Martínez Andreo has stated that the Consistory is based on the employer, because ultimately it is he who creates jobs, makes the product and promotes it.
