The Councillor for Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, and the representative of the founding editorial, editorial SM South, Alejandro ALMIS have been delivered in the plenary hall of the City of Totana of leaflets, called "Welcome" and presented educational material under the title "A World of students' intercultural content, representatives of schools and of associations, working with and for immigrants in the locality.
The material, composed of more than 3,000 copies of books and pamphlets, has been supported by the bank Cajamar, and has been prepared by the editorial SM, characterized by the quality and viability of their educational materials, among others.
The guide "Welcome" is directed to those foreigners who have come to the place with the aim of providing information "clear and practical" on the various aspects of interest to immigrants.
Thus, the mayor explained, is to "foster mutual understanding through data useful to strengthen the channels of living and at the same time, help to create the foreigners a sense of belonging to the host country.
This guide, explained Alejandro ALMIS is divided into chapters covering topics of interest such as legal, healthcare, work, education and housing, among others.
On the other hand, the book "A World of students" is aimed at primary pupils, where they collect data and curiosities of a total of 24 countries that have more presence in Spain, arranged alphabetically.
Through this book aims to help students better understand their peers from other countries and cultures and thus promote understanding and coexistence between them.
At the end of the book are collected a series of activities to carry them out in class and thus promote the multiculturalism.
