The regional government through the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, has approved grants totaling an amount of 3,129,269 euro for municipalities Archena, Beniel, Bullas, Fuente Alamo, Lorca, Moratalla, Murcia, Totana and Yecla, to carry out works both new construction and expansion and improvement of infrastructure of public schools and Primary Education.
The grants will go towards the realization of a total of 19 performances and are part of the overall plan to improve schools and Primary Education, which will adapt the facilities, equipment and resources to the needs of modernization and education in these municipalities.
In Totana be extended Tierno Galván school with four new classrooms, for a total of 484,403 euros, which provides full education.
Furthermore, the Governing Council has approved several agreements with the municipalities of Abanilla, Sewer, Ceuta, Lorca, Totana and Villanueva del Rio Segura for equipment or renovation of housing for older people, which involves an investment of 215,140 euros.
In Totana be co-financed the project with 39,234 euros of equipment in the home for the elderly La Purisima, a total cost of 52,232 euros.
With this help, the center, located at Nun Street in the north of the county, serves 90 users, new beds will be articulated and ergonomic furniture.
