Users of the Municipal Center's Senior "Paretón-Cantareros" receive a briefing on home telecare service (03/12/2008)

Partners and users of municipal Senior Center the "Paretón-Cantareros" have recently received a briefing on home telecare service, jointly organized by the Department of Social Welfare and the Red Cross delegation in Totana.

During the talk was given to see how this service as well as the activities being developed within this project and the involvement of volunteers.

Domiciliary Telecare is a public service, which allows instant communication with a care center for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

This service works with a device very easy to use, with a small button that always takes over.

Pressing the button will immediately be served by a team of professionals who provide personalized attention and mobilize all necessary resources to any emergency.

This service is aimed at the entire population in general, but mainly the elderly and disabled people living alone or who spend long hours alone.

The City provides this service through a partnership agreement with Red Cross in the Region of Murcia, totaling more than 120 users who are benefiting from this service in Totana and three in the Paretón.

To request this service, according to reports from the Department of Social Welfare, it is necessary to make an appointment at Le Centre de Totana Social Services, located in Calle Real.
