The Socio-Cultural Center "La Carcel" hosted the talk entitled "Strategies and resources to help our children with their studies" taught by Carmen Tárraga and framed by the Municipal School of Parents of Totana, organized by the Department of Education and Social Welfare , which was attended by forty parents.
During the conversation, the psychologist made a series of recommendations and guidance in helping their children in school, such as having a good place to study, according to the possibilities of each family, homework always in the same place at the same time, not to make the television or music, lead a planning study and take breaks of 5 minutes after each hour of study, among other recommendations.
Thus, he explained, are acquired in the child a series of routines and important study habits in high school.
At the same time, Carmen Tárraga always stressed that children have homework to do at home, despite what they might say our children and the time devoted to them is one hour per day in two hours primary and secondary day obtain satisfactory academic results.
On the other hand, the rapporteur noted that the most important in helping children in school are motivational and self-esteem and develop skills of analysis, synthesis and memory.
Finally, he stressed the need to have all the material ready before the kids get to school, and the importance of leading a secondary agenda and to impart to the children that homework must be completed, among other recommendations.
