The Department of Social Welfare, through the Municipal Immigration Service has organized a workshop on health education, set in the Municipal Programme for Integration and Intercultural Coexistence, which aims to provide the resources and tools necessary to develop interventions to promote health.
The workshop was conducted in two sessions of two hours, they talked about care during pregnancy and newborn care and family planning.
The first workshop was conducted by the midwife M ª Angeles Health Center of Alhama, who spoke on care during pregnancy and newborn care, reviews, ultrasounds, food, sport, the heel prick, vaccines, food ... ... .. and finally, a video about childbirth.
The second workshop was given by Dr. Ahmed Jebarra, of Moroccan nationality, who spoke on family planning, contraception and its importance in preventing unwanted pregnancies, and on the Spanish health system.
Students who were most Moroccan women were pleased with the workshop and consider the formation of great interest for personal and social life.
The program will continue to talk about consumption, which will provide strategies for the preparation of monthly budget, shopping list, saving measures, which take place on Thursday December 4 at 19:00.
