More than fifty children and youth participate daily in activities organized in the Edutec "Puzzle", through the Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" in collaboration with the Youth Council of the City of Totana.
These activities are developed in the Edutec are framed in the Social Revitalization Program for Children and Youth is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, sponsored by the Youth Council.
This program, according to reports from "The candle" has established a child and youth participation in the case of "Edutec Puzzle", located in Santomera Street (behind swimming pool), has exceeded all forecasts, it reaches a daily attendance in the leisure area of more than 60 children aged between 5 and 16, where, from Monday to Friday afternoons, they can enjoy and perform various leisure activities such as craft workshops, games , football and soon a ping-pong championship.
On the other hand, according to reports from this group, this program at this facility includes a classroom educational reinforcement for children of Primary and Secondary Education, which like the rest of the activities offered is free.
This program serves a daily basis over 20 students from different schools of the municipality to which, in addition to follow in carrying out homework, it offers a teacher and the option to access materials support (dictionaries, atlases, encyclopedias ...), or PC for consultations over the Internet.
This program, which aims to develop the socio children and young people in their immediate environment, also has three other centers with similar characteristics located in neighborhoods Tirol-Camilleri (Edutec Parcheesi), Olympic-Pears (Edutec Alvagón ) and the hamlet of El Paretón (Edutec Colorines), all coordinated by the technical team of the Collective for Social Promotion candle, under the supervision of the Youth Council of the City of Totana.
