Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Sánchez, chaired the General Assembly of the City Council's Equal Opportunities Totana, which met yesterday afternoon to begin preparations for the events to be organized on the occasion of International Day against violence, on 25 November.
It also proceeded to the adoption of the manifesto against gender violence and the choice of the logo of this participatory body.
Among the proposals approved unanimously highlight the new members to the board, with the incorporation of associations such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, the Local Council for Economic Development and Employment of the City of Totana and the Board of Immigration.
The meeting also discussed proposals for activities to be organized to commemorate the International Day of violence against women, held on 25 November.
Similarly it was reported the creation of Specialized Care Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence, a newly created service in the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities, in order to provide comprehensive and continuing the problem from different professional approaches: psychological, social and legal.
