The renovation of the existing garden of the local Red Cross have begun to take place this week with an operating budget of EUR 212,398.78 and a term of three months, as reported by the Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development, Mary Bedia José Navarro.
Improvement works of this garden, which were adopted about a year ago, and that technical problems of the initial draft presented, which had to be changed, have not been carried out, will include the refurbishment of the existing garden at the most its surface, as well as enable new areas for two playgrounds and a park for the elderly.
These works will be to facilitate access to the site and general arrangement of the landscaping and replacement of stormwater drainage, paving, lighting, street furniture and utility.
As for gardening, you will create a flower with a garden area in front of the building of Red Cross and the palms remain Lorca Avenue, but they replaced most of the existing trees for different types of plants and trees, all accompanied with a new irrigation system.
Also, accessibility is improved by a step to bridge a gap between the two buildings of the Red Cross, three ramps to allow access for the disabled, one from Lorca Avenue, the other against the Red Cross building, with Visanfer, and the other from Avenida Juan Carlos I, next to the bus stop and a new staircase from Lorca Avenue.
The existing pavement is replaced by some 280 square feet of terrazzo flooring 40x40 yellow parchment provisions as a path to the garden, and another 660 square meters of 40x40 abujardado maroon terrazzo.
