The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, escorted by the councilman of Agriculture and Water, John Pagan, and the president of the Association of Young Farmers of the village, BDA, José Cánovas Moreno, have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at defending the interests of its own, and in order to encourage measures to promote and work with these sectors.
This agreement is part of the round of signing agreements being made by the Mayor of Totana with agricultural and livestock organizations in the town for a total of 24,000 euros.
The local Consistory sign these agreements with livestock organizations, which are the Health Protection Association of Sheep and Goats of Totana and the Association of Swine Health Protection and agricultural organizations such as COAG-IR, UPA and BDA.
In this sense, Pagan Sanchez has shown the interest of the City Council in the development of these sectors and the implementation of measures to enable the development of the same and that in turn serve as activators of the economy of our municipality.
For his part, President of BDA welcomed the financial contribution of $ 4,000 provided by the Consistory, which contribute to the development and promotion of activities that will benefit and protect the interests of its partners.
In this way, the mayor of Totana explained that the Council aims to "support the farmers in our county, since it is an important economic sector in our city, dedicated to the production of products that are widely accepted in domestic markets international and showing a growing momentum. "
