The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, has proposed to representatives of business and professional organizations of the municipality, in the second meeting of the working platform, to participate in the preparation of municipal budgets for 2009.
The Consistory, explained City Councilman wants to take to the next the implementation of the participatory budgets in the history of the municipality.
In addition, one of the pillars of the document are anti-crisis measures and, as indicated Martínez Andreo, "the best way of preparing them is that the representatives of the business to identify which are the most effective measures to optimize the effectiveness of budgets."
During the working meeting, which was also attended by the Councillor for Industry, José Antonio Valverde Queen and the Deputy Speaker of the government team, Josefa María Sánchez Méndez, addressed several issues of interest to entrepreneurs.
On the one hand, representatives of the productive fabric of the municipality undertook to draw up a list of demands, needs and new proposals to try to improve the situation they are going through the different business entities in the municipality due to the national economic crisis.
Thus, in the next work meeting will be on the table the real needs and demands of the hardest hit by this crisis and the best way to try to safeguard the position given by the hand of the professionals themselves.
On the other hand, political representatives unveiled the latest report on employment trends in the municipality.
Martínez Andreo indicated that the number of unemployed in the municipality has dropped significantly in all sectors, noting especially the construction.
In total, 804 people are hired which represents more than 310 contracts in comparison with August data, as is clear from the SEF data, "in Totana has been a significant increase in employment promotion in relation to other municipalities in the region of Murcia. "
It also invited the representatives of business associations to participate in the workshops planned by the University of Murcia for the Local Strategic Plan "Growing Totana 2013."
