On Sunday 12th October there will be a tribute to the Spanish flag to coincide with Columbus Day and onomastics of the Virgin of Pilar, patroness of the Guardia Civil in the Plaza of the Constitution the municipality totanero.
At eleven o'clock the traditional Mass will be held in the convent of the Three Hail Mary in which the Civil Guard officers made a tribute to the Corps members who died in the line of duty.
When finished the homily, about midnight, the military authorities, civil and neighbors will move into the Plaza of the Constitution which will play the anthem and fly the flag.
The flag, of 2.16 by 3.24 meters, will be kept constant throughout the year on the mast that has been placed next to the shrine of Santa Eulalia.
The mast, which is 12 meters and sits on a landscaped area is carbon fiber to prevent damage over time.
