The Municipal People's Party will propose to the House for the month of September to be held tomorrow, September 30 a motion that urges the Ministry of Health to implement the recommendations of the Senate on rare diseases.
The Senate approved a study paper which analyzes the special situation of patients with rare diseases, as well as sanitary, educational and social activities that contribute to an adequate treatment of patients and their living conditions.
The paper was prepared by a group of senators, parliamentary groups, committees of Health, Labour and Social Affairs.
It carried out 68 recommendations and to carry them out, it was necessary to create a State agency for rare diseases and a Plan of Action, according to patients' associations and scientific societies.
The Agency and the Plan should have been launched throughout 2007, but have not yet been created.
For this reason, the Municipal People's Health to urge the adoption and implementation of the recommendations of the Senate talk about rare diseases.
