The Councillor for Agriculture and hamlets, Juan Pagán, visited this morning the main agricultural areas most affected by the storm of rain that is hitting different areas of the town of Totana to see first hand the damage to neighborhoods and districts.
During a visit in the hamlet of El Paretón, the council has been accompanied by a municipal, the village headman, Thomas Walls, and the president of the Neighborhood Association, Juan Canovas, who also visited the nearest Totana motorway-Mazarrón with RM-3 and are shown the consequences of the storm that fell yesterday afternoon and that continues to plague the town totanero.
Records of water have accumulated about 60 liters per square meter, affecting in particular cases to the homes of some neighbors and causing accumulation of water on some roads, as reported by Pagan, who also noted that some parcels have been affected with pools, causing the drag of land, land and scrub.
The mayor during the visit held meeting with the different neighborhoods have been affected and possible solutions to mitigate future problems that arise after the accumulation of rain.
In the service roads of the highway have been found with serious drainage problems that hinder, in some cases, the movement of vehicles.
The emergency device that has been launched is formed, as reported by the mayor, by patrols of the Local Police, Civil Defence volunteers and operators of municipal services totanero Consistory, which is responsible for the cleanup and repair of tunnels.
