Totana City Council has awarded the drafting of several studies necessary for the implementation of the proposed construction of the roundabout at the intersection of the N-340 and the Rambla de la Santa, amounting to EUR 10,031.68 and an execution time two months.
In this sense, the Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, explained that it intends to expand the existing bridge at the N-340 as it passes through the Rambla de la Santa de Totana to make a roundabout, and informed of the need conducting a series of previous studies as hydrological studies, Mapping and Surveying and Geotechnical Geological Survey (including tasting and drilling)
The mayor noted that the autonomous region, through the Ministry of the Presidency, given the amount of 495,000 euros to the city of Totana, under grants from the Special Infrastructure Plan is based on municipalities, which will target the construction project of the roundabout between the Avenida Juan Carlos I and the Rambla de La Santa.
The local Consistory build a roundabout between the Avenida Juan Carlos I and the Rambla de La Santa in order to minimize problems related to speed traffic flow through the intersection of two routes.
The works consist of widening the existing bridge on the Rambla de la Santa, the extension of sidewalks by a walk-boulevard on the south bank of the action from the Rambla de las pears to the Rambla de Los Arcos and service road projects bands and curbside parking expanded.
In addition, the roundabout will be built oval and a sculptural element.
This project will channel the traffic lane creating a sense of the Avenida Juan Carlos I on the side of the avenue to the center of town and another lane on the opposite side out until that avenue, covered by a roundabout at this bridge.
