The town of Totana along with 16 other municipalities in the Region of Murcia will receive more than 1.6 million euros to meet the needs related to the action plan for seniors.
Thus, the Governing Council has adopted a number of direct grants from the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration in 17 municipalities in the amount of 1,636,220 euros to meet needs related to the Plan of Action for Older People (MPAP).
The city councils of Totana, Villanueva del Río Segura, Abanilla, Ricote, Lorca, Fortuna, Cieza, and Torre Pacheco will help to develop construction projects, renovation and equipping of day care centers, day centers and residential placement for a total amount of 245,372 euros.
Also, the Municipal Social Services City of Cartagena have 79,055 euros to co-finance the equipment of a Day Care center in El Algar.
Similarly, municipalities Sewer, Cartagena La Union and will have 601,594 euros for reform of residential projects and construction of Day Care centers.
And finally, the consistory of Alguazas, Abarán, Mula, Beniel, Torre Pacheco and Moratalla receive 710,199 euros to implement projects under the MPAP.
