The popular local group Totana City Council propose to the plenary of the Corporation, to be held next Tuesday, conducting a joint study between the promoter of the Convention on Canvas Strip, the irrigators and the community to solve local Consistory problem of rainwater harvesting in that area as well as its subsequent use for irrigation.
As explained by the Municipal People's Party spokesman, José Antonio Valverde Queen, "in recent days, we saw that in the event of heavy rain, stormwater from the area of the strip of canvas, and that goes to a ramblizo, can cause flooding problems in homes in the area of the Coast where intense rainfall. "
For this reason, and after checking the facts first hand, according to the mayor, a possible solution would be to construct a dam at the head of ramblizo, allowing the collection of rainwater for subsequent discharge into the swamp Community Irrigation, located in the vicinity of the strip of canvas.
