The Association for Rare Diseases D'Genes closed the year 2015 with a balance of more than a hundred people attended weekly direct care in the Multidisciplinary Center "Celia Carrion Perez de Tudela".
The portfolio of services that the association offers information and guidance are rare, physical diseases, psychological care, speech therapy, cognitive stimulation, hydrotherapy and aquatic rehabilitation, reflexology, respite, multisensory stimulation, online counseling, legal assistance and attention online home.
Over the past year, more than 250 consultations were carried out in the Department of Information and Guidance on Rare Diseases, arrivals mainly through email and social networks.
In addition, more than 3,300 direct care services respite program or therapy of friendship, among others were provided through the portfolio of D'Genes, without other activities.
The most used during the past 2015 services were physiotherapy and speech therapy.
The D'Genes association has become a benchmark of attention on rare diseases in the Region of Murcia, contributing to improving the quality of life of people suffering from rare diseases and improving the health and rehabilitative care is needed in these cases.
During the past 2015 also it has to highlight the opening of offices in different parts of the region, to make it accessible and close many of the services provided.
