Municipal workers of the Department of Services of the City of Totana are doing pruning work for security in large trees and higher than exist in the beds of the Plaza Vieja Balsa in this town.
The aim of the Department is that the trees have less weight in the cup and avoid accidents like the other day in the by wind and lack of restraint of the tree to the ground was dismembered from the root to fall into the square, the councilor of the Department, Victor Balsas.
On Monday one large ficus fell into a parterre Balsa Vieja Square Totana by the temporary effect of time, without injuries or damage occurring.
These works are intended to take place in other green urban spaces.
The tree, which was over 20 years old, according to the municipal officers, fell entirely within the enclosure and not the street, up to where the famous "Monument to the Nazarene" in Totana, is located in a very central area of ​​town.
The ficus, which was in good condition and very leafy, broke up the soil from the roots;
