The Security and Commerce departments have launched new campaign "Safe Shopping" which aims to improve safety and prevent crime in the most commercial streets of the town on the occasion of holiday shopping.
The campaign started on Monday December 21 and will last until January 6, dates during which an effort will be made to increase the presence of the local police especially in the most commercial areas of the town.
Aside from the usual service of the local police is going to keep a minimum number, mornings and afternoons, four agents working exclusively in this campaign.
They are going to spend more than 500 hours of work by them.
The town has been divided into areas where the largest number of stores are concentrated to develop the device.
Thus, on the axis of the town Rambla de La Santa, they have set four main areas: the street Santomera;
the area of ​​the square Juan XXIII, streets La Fuente and San Antonio and surrounding areas, including the Rambla avenue of La Santa;
Plaza de la Constitution and Calle General Aznar and nearby;
and the area of ​​ceramics.
In addition, two patrols of two officers each to be carried on foot and motorcycle, continued surveillance tasks in these areas opening hours of 10.00 to 14.00 and afternoons from 16:30 to 21:30 hours.
