Municipal, civil and religious authorities, and hundreds of totaneros, accompanied today in procession to the image of Santa Eulalia of Mérida from the chapel of San Roque until his arrival in the parish of Santiago, where it will remain until next January 7 to return again, on a pilgrimage to her sanctuary in Sierra Espuña.
From early afternoon institutional delegation led by the Mayor of Totana, Juan José Canovas, councilors of the Municipal Corporation, religious leaders, members of the Holy Foundation and the Municipal Band of Music of Totana, have come to the hermitage San Roque, where after the meeting with the image of Santa Eulalia have accompanied the procession to the parish church.
Attendees have been gathering all the way into two long lines, carrying hundreds of candles lit with the entry of the night, until you reach the Plaza de la Constitution.
In addition, morning feast of Santa Eulalia, the Mass was held in honor of the patron, chaired by the Bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes.
In the afternoon, starting at 17:00, will be the solemn procession with the image of Santa Eulalia.
