A group of unemployed people in the municipality of Totana, ended last Wednesday, November 25, a training course to improve employability, focusing on social skills training and techniques of active job search.
The course, with a total duration of 72 hours, began on October 14 and ended on November 25, was developed in the Social Center Barrio San Roque (next to the chapel of San Roque).
The main objective of this training is to improve basic social skills and acquiring job search techniques, which is critical when it comes to finding a job and keep it.
To this end, it has worked around three main areas of content: social and emotional learning techniques of active job search and technology skills (basic information).
It was given by the social educator team Collective for Social Promotion "The Candle" and has been aimed at people experiencing particular difficulty in accessing employment.
This training is part of the actions developed by the "WORK: A step towards employability" project, a project that is operating in Totana since November 2007, in collaboration with the City of Totana and funded by the European Social Fund in 80% funded by the Autonomous Region of Murcia (through the Instituto Murciano Social Action) by 20%.
This project focuses on developing its activities in these key areas: social care, training, career guidance and job and with a specific goal of improving the employability of participants prospecting.
