Another year IES Juan de la Cierva and Codorníu Totana has been invited to participate by presenting its own stand in the SECYT-2015 that was held from 6 to 8 November in the gardens of Murcia boardwalk.
The event, organized by the Seneca Foundation, has had this year with 45 science-related entities, such as universities, scientific, astronomical grouping, meteorology agency, etc.
The theme was "Science everywhere"
IB students accompanied by their teachers, kisca Ortiz Sobejano, Amparao Abellaneda, Antonia Bermejo and Miguel Cañizares Millan, during the three-day event were continuously performing experimental demonstrations of Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with the numerous public who visited the stand IES Juan de la Cierva.
These activities have a high educational performance as students not only learn Science that they have to show, but also learn to explain orally to a diverse audience, developing communication skills.
Moreover, it helps to promote the importance of science in our lives and gives visibility to the activities of the regional center.
