The Department of Culture, through the municipal library, inaugurated this week, with groups 5 ° "A" and 5 ° "B" CEIP "San José", the program Reading Promotion 2015/2016, with activity "Know Your Library" offered to the students of Primary Education fifth of schools in this municipality.
This activity, carried out by the library staff, seeks to promote reading literary texts not only books but also matter, and is basically a guided tour of the library to find resources.
The main objectives are to teach how books are sorted and explain why that order, meet the management and the advantages of using the OPAC (Public Access Catalog Online), and finally provide children with the necessary tools to locate the works on the shelves through the use of OPAC.
The visit begins with an explanation of how they are categorized and sorted the books, and what they mean ingots of colors, then they are taught to use the OPAC to find a book.
