Work on the dam Lébor be included in the State Budget for 2016, said yesterday the Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, after the meeting of the Governing Council.
This was one of the agreements set by the president of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sanchez, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina, whereby the State Budget 2016 will contemplate these works, as well as The Mulberry Dam (Mazarrón) and regrowth Camarillas dam.
The dam is located in the channel of the Rambla de Lebor and is one of the main boulevards that provide flow to the bed of the river Guadalentín before Paretón Totana Dam.
The implementation of these actions would allow for a redotación for irrigation between 12/13 den Totana Hm3.
Besides Totana, beneficiaries would also irrigation of Lorca and Alhama de Murcia.
Regrowth Camarillas dam will increase the dam height in about 25 additional meters, allowing for additional regulation would benefit the traditional risks and the risks of the Tajo-Segura, to increase regulation in header.
The estimated capacity is 100 hm3.
