The new Department of Archaeological Sites of Totana has been forced to extend the hours and improve services from the archaeological site "La Bastida" existing in this municipality to demand and public interest aroused since opening the knowledge of the town and its project musealization.
The Full Council of Totana has recently approved before the new existing context, the amendment of the Rules of Visitation modifying certain articles that had already been approved officially in July 2014.
So they have had to change some rules of visitation to meet the requests for visits both to the same schools and universities as sightseeing and leisure activity.
So far the site was open to visitors from January to December every Friday (educational groups), Saturday and first and second Sunday of each month.
Henceforth, the site is open to visitors every day from January to December except on days 8, 24, 25 and 31 December;
and 11, 6 and 7 January, unless otherwise indicated.
In addition, on May 18, International Museum Day, a day of open doors will be established.
Schedules will be in winter (October 1 to May 31), from 10:00 to 14:00;
and summer (from June 1 to August 31), from 9:00 to 11:00 and 19:00 to 21:00.
Likewise, it is established that henceforth the maximum daily visits goes from 220 to 275 people.
Also, to enter the site and visit the town is necessary that visitors have an access ticket to be presented at the start of the visit, and visitors should keep be interested because requested at any time.
The access tickets will be withdrawn in places authorized for this purpose by the city of Totana.
These agreements, which have been approved by the City Council, are now subject to public display for 30 days by publication in the BORM and municipal announcement board for filing possible claims.
