The mayor, Juan Jose Canovas, accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Andres Garcia, met with directors of the Association of Construction (AEMC) in order to resume the joint areas of work that would advance the document General Municipal Management Plan;
and address other matters of general interest that affect the construction industry in this county.
Municipal officials informed representatives of the Board of AEMCO, José Muñoz, Diego Fernandez and Javier Martinez, lines of work of municipal government team with the General Plan, the problem of delay in licenses being processed in the Department Planning and state and municipal infrastructure works.
The meeting, which was "extensive and very productive," explained the mayor at the end of it, also allowed the exchange of ideas and proposals that were suggested by industry professionals to its implementation in Totana.
In this regard, issues such as the need for information on aid to neighboring communities in relation to the rehabilitation and adaptation of buildings, rehabilitation of neighborhoods, projects and ideas to enhance this sector were discussed.
The mayor stressed the importance and "fruitful" spirit of this institutional meeting with professionals "sector of the economy that creates jobs, both direct and indirect, and municipal revenues."
Municipal authorities replaced successive meetings to continue work on the General Plan, analyze the implementation of the Business Incubator after the rehabilitation;
and to involve and listen to suggestions from young entrepreneurs "in decisions and planning for a sustainable future of this city."
