Totanero writer Rosa Ginés, will donate to the Municipal Archives a series of medieval documents and others from the XVI, XVII and XVIII, all of great historical and documentary value, for the study and research of the history of Totana and They are in good condition.
Totana City Council is planning an official event of receipt of the documents, so that the municipal officers are already working on the viewing, historical study and cataloging of such documents.
The recovered documents are a copy made by a notary public in 1548 of a privilege of King Alfonso X "The Wise", written on parchment, filed in the Convento de Velez, whereby Totana and Aledo is transferred to the Order of Santiago Cavalry the April 14, 1295.
The letter from King Henry II's neighbors recognizing exemption from Aledo pay "twelve other currencies" is also recovered as the coming enjoying, Toledo dated November 3, 1412.
The donation includes the privilege letter confirming an earlier (1331) granting the village of Aledo the same privileges, habits, customs and freedoms enjoyed by Lorca and making other concessions of social and economic interest.
