The Department of Services and Infrastructure is proceeding during these days a clearing of vegetation in the beds of the streams of La Santa and Cemetery as it passes through the town of Totana, respectively
Work is being performed by workers hired under the program of "Employment District Councils", which will run until 15 November and who have benefited this turn 57 farm laborers, according to the councilor of this department Victor Balsas.
The council will receive a total of 340,627 euros to hire a total of 171 unemployed in different phases.
The contracted works are basically doing cleaning of roads and public roads during this time.
The initiative is developed in three phases corresponding to three shifts agricultural laborers over a period of two months each.
The completion of works is justified by the need to combat unemployment by ensuring a complement agricultural income through the distribution of employment available and encouraging the employment of these workers in the agricultural sector activities.
Contracts are made each turn under the Public State Employment Service and Community co-financing of Ministry of Employment and Social Security;
and the need to continue with the maintenance and upkeep of public roads and boulevards in the municipality.
In this first shift are clearing these watercourses and roads Guardians to RM-3 Paretón Cemetery, New Road, dinner Juan Teresa, Hornico, Las Cabezuelas, fennel, Old Lebor and highway road N- 340.
