The festival of Santa Leocadia, in the council of La Sierra, will be held from 18 to 20 September with a varied program of activities taking place throughout the weekend, according to sources from the Department of Celebration.
The program starts on Friday the 18th, from 21:00 hours, Migas Contest, in which the flour and oil to all participants will be provided (there will be service-burning);
and will continue, at 22:00, starring the trio "Aires Latinos".
On Saturday, the 19th, at 18:30, will be held the traditional procession with the images of Santa Leocadia and San Jose;
and when it ended, they celebrate Mass in the "Finca Caruana" complex.
At night, at 22:00, will take place the verbena enlivened by the group "Southern Star".
The celebrations end on Sunday, the 20th, from 11:00 until 13:00, with special activities on Sierra Espuña, in which an exhibition and handicraft workshop on the world of amphibians in this nature reserve is projected.
At 14:00 hours, it will be the popular paella for all attendees, and subsequent Dessert Contest;
since 1600, will take place the traditional games of childhood Pots.
The summer calendar of festivities in neighborhoods and districts of Totana concludes the weekend of 2 to 4 October with the celebrations of the district of San Francisco.
