The departments of Services and Environment have launched this week intensive cleaning campaign in the recreational areas in the vicinity of La Santa, where barbecues enabled for cooking, in order to prevent forest fires during the time of lie summer.
This initiative is part of a campaign of fire prevention in areas of public ownership, for what have extreme cleaning measures in recreational areas in forest areas considered in this case, "The Angel" and "El Grifo" respectively.
In this regard, you are reminded that you can not make any fire in the existing barbecues in different places and recreational areas throughout the natural park of Sierra Espuña or use camping-gas for cooking in the bush since last May 1 until October, under the measures contained in the Plan INFOMUR.
This performance is made following the recommendations of the Office of Environment within the fire prevention campaign 2015 in the areas likely to be at risk and are municipally owned.
Thus expressly prohibits the making of fires in designated areas during the rest of the year in different spaces set in the vicinity of La Santa (places the tap and the Angel), Balsa Girl, Great Raft, The Stables and the existing barbecues on the edge of the town of Alhama.
Civil Protection expects the cooperation of all users and visitors to the Sierra de Espuña in order to avoid unpleasant accidents on the natural environment.
The main objective of the Plan of Civil Protection Wildfire Emergency Murcia (INFOMUR Plan) is to establish the hierarchical and functional organization in order to protect people, property and the environment.
The scope of this Plan extends to the entire territory of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and therefore are integrated into it, the Municipal Emergency Plans by forest fires, such as Totana.
