Before the latest press releases of the Popular Party in which I appear repeatedly named, would like to state the following:
1) I retired elementary process of the United Left in early February voluntarily, for strictly personal reasons.
There was not the slightest gesture from the other candidate in the primaries, Juan José Canovas, that I depart me the process, nor has there been, nor is there any disagreement between him and me.
It would have been absurd to make public my intention to participate in the primary process and a few days after I retired from political disagreements.
I repeat now what I said at the time: Juan José has my affection and unqualified support the candidacy of the United Left in Totana in municipal elections in May.
2) There has been no United Left there in two sectors which faced Juan José Cánovas formed part of one and the other.
That is pure invention.
Throughout the development of the Land-use planning has been a lone voice in IU, off to meetings Antonio Murcia (our representative in the commission of Urbanism), Juan José Canovas or me.
Mal could have been no difference of opinion if our representative in the commission of Urbanism had worked in one direction at a technical level and I have defended in the plenary politically another position.
In fact, in plenary in which he discussed the shortcomings of the General Plan was the spokesman, praised on behalf of Izquierda Unida advances in the General Plan but also walked our group would vote against him by the permanence of the agreements.
Then when it came to voting the allegations to the General Plan, the spokesman was Juan Jose Canovas and this time even voted against, we abstained on the ground that had not had time to study them thoroughly and recognizing that many of them are not followed the guidelines agreed by the three parties in December 2011.
3rd) Failure to join the United Left candidate for municipal, 2015 has been a completely personal decision.
No sense to me move away from the primary process to prioritize other aspects of my private life and be after the municipal list of IU.
Contrary to the assertions of the note's Party, United Left several colleagues showed the interest of the group and the candidate to accompany this new election date and I who declined the proposal.
4th) hardly Juan José Cánovas could truncate my political career, because I have not been to the municipal group of United Left To Do "political career" but by a strict moral commitment to the residents of Totana and the political group that I felt more identified, without being thereby affiliated.
My career has been for over thirty years and remains the teacher.
If I now section is something that has to do solely with a personal decision.
5th) For all these reasons, publicly ask the Popular Party not to continue using my name or appeals to me to continue attacking the United Left candidate Juan José Cánovas, entering a field where it should never enter politics: the ground staff.
Political arguments defend their actions and proposals attempt to do so looking above all the common good of the residents of Totana, and if I consider myself the conciliatory spirit and seek dialogue practice in debates with other candidates are running in these elections.
As you well know, there is much work to do in the city of Totana and neighbors and citizens who will vote in a month's worth political parties and resolve their problems and do not begin to wrestle each other for simple power quotas.
