The Association of Families and Women in Rural Areas (AFAMMER) organizes the course "Health Care: Alzheimer's care" of May 4 to June 2 in Totana, which is to provide a useful tool to increase the quality of care the person diagnosed with this condition.
With this training is to train the students / os in the profession of nursing assistant and especially in therapeutic and specialized care to Alzheimer's patient care, understanding the functions developed in different areas of health.
The audience for this course are unemployed / as, preferably female, rural and aiming seeking employment and / or self-employment in rural areas, with priority for young women, aged over 45 and disabled, with minimum qualifications GBS, health FPI branch or industry experience.
The course will be held at the Centre for Local Development in the New Gardens Street, 5, located in the industrial park "The Saladar", Monday through Thursday from 9:30 to 13:30 hours.

Participants will address issues such as the central nervous system, most common diseases of the human nervous system, dementia and their types, introduction to Alzheimer's dementia, dementia causation, bases of symptomatic diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, treatment criteria and clinical stages of the disease.
In addition, the types of treatment will be discussed to tackle the disease, other problems of daily living such as incontinence, mobility and pressure ulcers, nutrition and psychological impact of Alzheimer's disease in the family.
