The students of the Occupational Classroom Totana, attending remedial education program, participated during the months of January to March in different complementary activities organized by the Department of Education of the City of Totana, in collaboration with the IES Prado Mayor.
Activities planned from the Occupational Classroom in this quarter have been directed at expanding the workforce of students, introducing them to the knowledge of professional activities in township enterprises.
In this sense, the program began with a visit to COATO to them about the functioning and the activity that the company and inform them of the importance of raw materials when developing their products.
It was also made a visit to the Equestrian "PONY CLUB ALMOND" center to deepen the years in the horse world: food preparation, cleaning, possible training, therapy, rules of professional qualifications, as well as potential job opportunities.
Supplementary cooking activities have been directed to material recycling with the launch of the "Workshop recycling" has tried to educate our students the importance of recycling for the life of the earth and men, as well many other possibilities, such as creating new objects: brooches, key chains, etc.
It has also offered a talk on prevention of Drug Dependence given by psychologist Lucia Gallego in which is discussed above, in general, to inform, educate and sensitize young people about the risks associated consumption and trafficking of these substances.
Complementary activities in the second quarter closed with a talk on road safety provided by the local police.
