The Munltidisciplinar "Celia Carrión Pérez de Tudela" Center, which provides comprehensive care to patients with rare diseases in the Region of Murcia is located in Totana, has completed one year.
The center, which manage D'Genes Rare Disease Association and the Association of Relatives and Affected lipodystrophy (AELIP), is located in a downtown street dependencies dela SanCristóbalde criteria.
With this infrastructure, Totanase has become enreferente in caring for people with a rare disease in the region.
Thus, weekly, in the Multidisciplinary Center "Celia Carrión Pérez de Tudela" is serving more than 130 people with 80 different rare diseases, both children and adults, who come from different parts of the Region.
This involves the provision of nearly three hundred monthly services.
In addition, soon they are going to open offices in Cehegín Center, Cartagena and Murcia, in order to enable the decentralization of services provided therein, and thus prevent displacement of users of these areas to Totana.
In these units a broad portfolio of services offered to its users, which include the information and guidance on rare diseases, physiotherapy, psychology, hydrotherapy, speech therapy, cognitive stimulation, reflexology, social care, reiki, legal advice online , online counseling and respite service.
The center is named president's daughter dela D'Genes and ERDF, Juan Carrion, and the president of AELIP, Naca Perez de Tudela, precisely today February 27 would have turned 11 years old.
