The Regional Employment and Training (SEF) has awarded the City of Totana a program of employment and training in the specialty of "geriatric care for dependent people in social institutions", for an amount of 219,274 euros, in the call 2014 .
The Councillor for Employment and Training, Maria Jose Baeza, has reported that this program targets unemployed aged 25 or more people, with a maximum of 15 students.
The objective of this project is to assist dependents in the geriatric field of Totana, applying the strategies designed by the competent interdisciplinary team and procedures to maintain their personal autonomy and their relationships with the environment.
The mixed employment-training program lasts for one year, with a total of 1,920 hours, of which 370 hours will be theoretical and practical 1,478.
Also included 78 hours of additional training with training activities on computer literacy, prevention of occupational hazards, environmental awareness, unit of social economy and self-employment, gender equality module and search module resources and improving employment.
