The totanero swimmer José Miguel Cano participated last January 10 at the First Regional Master Swimming Championships long distance.

A total of 25 swimmers from across the region traveled 3000 meters in the indoor pool Pila de la Horadada (Alicante).

Cano got a personal best in this test of 3000 meters in 25 meter pool with a time of 49'18 "getting the silver medal in its category, making partial 1,000 meters below 17'.

José Miguel swim on Saturday in the nearby town of Lorca on the 3rd day of league Masters Swimming Federation of Murcia in tests of 50 Mariposa, 400 Styles, 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle.

Both José Martinez Ballester and José Miguel Cano continue to train in Totana Move Sports Center for their big challenge facing this summer that is none other than crossing the Strait of Gibraltar from Tarifa to Punta de Cires.
