The City Council has awarded the title of Official Chronicler of Loyal and Noble Ciudad de Totana teacher, Juan Canovas Mulero, in an official ceremony attended by over 250 people, including 23 official chroniclers of different municipalities and representatives of local associations and life culture of the town.
This event, held in the Sociocultural Center Jail, was also the winner, chaired by the Mayor of Totana, Isabel Maria Sanchez, the current Chronicler of the City of Totana, Mateo García, Councillor for Culture, Alfonso Cayuela and President of the Association of Writers of the Region of Murcia, Ricardo Montes.
During the course of it, he proceeded to read the minutes of the plenary in which the appointment is collected, where it is recalled that Regulation Honors and Awards Hall of Totana regulates this award recognizes the historical, journalistic work, literary or research for Totana, made by people linked to the municipal institution or the municipality.

Don Juan Cánovas Mulero born in Totana on February 14, 1958;
domiciled in this city where he attended high school studies at the Instituto Juan de la Cierva.
He studied at the School of Basic General Education Teachers of Murcia, obtaining the title of Professor of EGB.

Professor Canovas Mulero is a tireless worker, aware as anyone of the documented history of the city and roots;
and a passion for sharing their knowledge and transmit them to younger generations of totaneros.
