Foreign residents in Spain (CERE) voting in municipal elections May 24 may exercise the right to vote in the case of nationals of countries of the European Union and countries with reciprocal agreements for this call election, for what have until January 15 in the Electoral Census Office (OCE) to apply your will to exercise the right to vote.

Formal statements of wishes to vote in Spain for municipal elections may be made by mail, internet or in person at the City of residence.
In the case of request in the municipality of residence, must be made by completing the form of a formal declaration (DFA model) provided by the Provincial Offices of ECO to all municipalities in a file, so that they make only the impressions they need.
The proof of identity can be done with the identity card or passport from their country of origin.
To give effect to the existing electoral roll of the municipal elections, formal statements shall be made not later than on 30 December 2014.
Returns filed after December 30, 2014, including claims that may arise from data entered in the electoral roll, are not included in the current census elections May 24, 2015.
Reciprocity agreements for municipal elections
Residents nationals of countries recognizing the right to vote in municipal elections, meeting the requirements set out in them in order to vote, may apply to register on the electoral roll for the municipal elections of May 24, 2015 agreements Spain.
Countries with existing agreements are Bolivia, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Korea, Ecuador, Iceland, Norway, New Zealand, Paraguay, Peru and Trinidad and Tobago.

For those concerned that they consider that the agreement must apply in person at City Hall, identifying with their foreign identity card (for nationals of Iceland, Norway or national identity card or further support passport from their country of origin).
The period of legal residence in Spain must be justified with a certificate of residence issued by the police station only when it can not be inferred from the data of the photocopy of the identity card abroad if this is provided.
The application form will be provided by the Provincial Delegations of the Electoral Census Office all municipalities in a file, so that they make only the impressions they need.
The deadline for submitting applications is established December 1, 2014 to January 15, 2015.
Applications submitted in the municipalities should be forwarded to the OCE before January 20, 2015.
Requests made after the deadline, including claims that may be made by the data entered in the electoral roll, will be rejected for violating this requirement.
The counts of communications for the municipality will be posted on the website of the OCE, in www.ine.es, Censo Electoral / Training of the electorate of foreign residents in Spain for the municipal elections of 2015.
